Moving Back to Bihar for a Week
I went home for a week. No cover image for this one — some things do not need a photograph to be remembered.
Slower clocks
The house runs on a different scheduler. Mornings start with the pressure cooker, not Slack. The afternoon is a long, uninterrupted block with no meetings to fragment it. I had forgotten what an undivided hour feels like.
The only latency that mattered all week was how long the tea took.
What I brought back
Not much in my bag, more in my head. A reminder that the work is better when the person doing it has stepped away from it. I came back to the editor with the same problems and, somehow, fewer of them.
